The 12th Congress of the European Association for Palliative Care will take place at Lisbon Congress Centre, a pleasant and modern location, specially designed to hold large scale events of different kinds. The building offers lecture halls of different size, an attractive exhibition area as well as a number of rooms for spontaneous small scale meetings. With the Tagus River nearby and close to the prestigious area of the Belem historical quarter, Lisbon Congress Centre is about 15 minutes drive from the city centre with its high number of hotels and restaurants.

Lisbon Congress Centre is located in an area served by many alternative means of transportation.

By Táxi

Taxis in Lisbon are beige and usually have the word TAXI on top. Taxi fares are calculated on the basis of an initial flat charge of around 2,5 Euros and the distance is metred from then on. In addition, if the taxi has been called out, rather than hailed in the street there is a small surcharge. If luggage is carried, a surcharge is charged. Meters are displayed in all licensed taxis, along with the driver's identity card.

Food and Drinks

There is one restaurant and snack areas in the Congress Center, as well as several restaurants within walking distance and overlooking the river.

Bank Services

ATM machines for cash withdrawals are spread all over the city. This service is also available at the Lisboa Congress Centre. A bank service will also be available within 5 minutes walking distance from the CCL.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the Congress Centre.
